In Ukraine, declared their right to a water blockade of Crimea

The supply of water to the Crimea was stopped, since Kiev finances the North Crimean Canal and has every right to block its work, said Anton Korinevich, permanent representative of the President of Ukraine in the so-called Autonomous Republic of Crimea. He wrote about this on his Facebook page. Ukraine did not block the Dnieper River channel, but blocked an artificial technological structure (canal) located on the territory of Ukraine, under the jurisdiction of Ukraine and financed from the state budget of Ukraine. Ukraine has every right to do so. No other state has the right to dispose of the canal, this is a Ukrainian building and only Ukraine can determine how to use it. Anton Korinevich Permanent Representative added that the Dnieper flows freely through the territory of Ukraine, Belarus and Russia and no one blocked its channel and access to its waters for people living in the territory through which the river flows. According to the news agency, in February Anton Korinevich said that Kiev is not going to restore the water supply of Crimea through the North Crimean Canal. At the end of June, the head of the Crimea, Sergei Aksenov, said that the Crimean authorities would not appeal to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky about the resumption of water supply from mainland Ukraine to the peninsula.
