The Ministry of Finance of Ukraine canceled the placement of Eurobonds in the amount of $1.75 billion
The Ministry of Finance of Ukraine canceled the placement of bonds denominated in foreign currency, the publication Liga.net reported on July 2. The placement of 12-year Eurobonds worth $1.75 billion was canceled at the initiative of the issuer, the Pan-European Stock Exchange said. $750 million from the issue of these Eurobonds were to go to repay bonds, which expire in 2021 2022. Note that the agreement on the placement of bonds was completed exactly before the head of the national bank of Ukraine, Yakov Smoliy, resigned. According to the news agency, earlier the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky submitted to the Verkhovna Rada a resolution on the dismissal of Smoly.
