Georgian government will ensure cheap delivery of emigrants to their homeland

The Georgian government will ensure cheap delivery of emigrants wishing to return to their homeland, and for this purpose is negotiating not only with the Georgian airline, but also with a number of foreign airlines. On behalf of the Prime Minister of Georgia, the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development and the Civil Aviation Agency should submit the corresponding schedule of charter low-cost flights on Monday, July 6. These flights will not be free for passengers, but the prices for them will not be so high, which in the last period often resent passengers of the airline Georgian Airways. According to the Prime Minister, ticket prices for emigrants should not exceed 200 euros. The decision to resume regular flights will be taken by the Government of Georgia based on the situation in other countries, and before that charter flights will continue in various directions for which citizens have demand. Passengers who used the flights of the Georgian airline complained that instead of the promised 199 euros, they had to pay two or even three times more for tickets. During the pandemic, by agreement with the Georgian government, charter flights were mainly operated by Georgian Airways.
