Baltic Fleet training ship Smolny entered Severomorsk

The Baltic Fleet training ship Smolny, which makes a training trip in the northern latitudes, entered Severomorsk, which is the main base of the Northern Fleet of Russia. This was announced on July 30 by the press service of the Western Military District. On board the ship, more than 100 cadets of the Naval Polytechnic Institute VUNC Navy Naval Academy named after Admiral of the Fleet of the Soviet Union N.G. Kuznetsov pass naval practice. Before entering Severomorsk, Smolny had already visited the port of Arkhangelsk, where the ship's crew and cadets took part in a holiday dedicated to Navy Day. Cadets were also able to study the navigation and hydrographic features of the northern port of Russia on the spot. On August 7, the Smolny training ship will leave Severomorsk and head to the North Atlantic, where it will visit the French port of Brest.
