We showed fists: how the Soviet Union shot down a Junkers over the Baltic sea
On 14 June 1940 the Soviet Union shot down in the skies over the Gulf of Finland passenger plane Junkers Ju 52 flying from Tallinn to Helsinki. Killed seven passengers and two pilots. The Soviet Union has never admitted responsibility for the tragedy, and Finland, who feared Soviet military power, did not demand an apology and reparations.
