Moldovan and PMR presidents to meet against pandemic and Moldovan blockade

Moldovan Presidents Igor Dodon and Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Vadim Krasnoselsky will meet at the end of July in early August. According to Dodon, the parties will discuss at the highest level the entire range of topical issues, the news agency reports. We have dialogue, we solve emerging problems. During the coronavirus pandemic, the Transnistrian side established a number of checkpoints in the Security Zone, which created difficulties for the freedom of movement of citizens. In the last ten days, these issues have begun to be resolved. We hope that all checkpoints that have been installed without approval will be removed, Dodon said. The press service of Krasnoselsky in turn confirmed the information about the planned meeting of the leadership of Pridnestrovie and Moldova. The venue and the exact date will be announced later, and the conversation at the highest level will be devoted to topical issues of Moldovan-Pridnestrovian relations. Note that earlier Moldova tried to spread at the international level accusations against the PMR about the allegedly ineffective fight against coronavirus in the republic, and also tried in this regard to initiate an emergency meeting in the format of 5 + 2. At the same time, the Moldovan authorities during the epidemic intensified the blockade of the PMR, including without missing medical supplies and protective equipment to combat infection.
