Bad weather, fortunately, leaves: Mayor of the most flooded city of Ukraine

In the Ivano-Frankivsk region of Ukraine, the situation with floods is gradually improving, the mayor of the regional center Ruslan Marcinkiv said at a briefing on the morning of June 25. According to the mayor, the level of the Bystrica River decreased by about one and a half meters. Bad weather, fortunately, is leaving, Marzinkiv stated. He also called on citizens of the region affected by the flood to quickly draw up acts regarding the damage done in order to subsequently receive assistance from the state. the news agency recalls that in recent days in western Ukraine there have been large-scale floods caused by heavy rainfall. The most affected is just the Ivano-Frankivsk region, the day before, a government delegation led by Prime Minister Denis Shmygal worked in the region all day. On June 24, it was announced that initial assistance for the Ivano-Frankivsk region will amount to 500 million UAH, plus 82 million UAH will be allocated for the resumption of dams and shores. Today, the government will consider the issue of allocating this money from the state budget reserve fund.
