Head of State Property Department in Kazakhstan suspected of theft of $17 thousand

The head of the Department of State Property and Privatization in Chimkent is suspected of stealing 7 million tenge ($17 thousand). This was announced on May 28 by the investigator of the anti-corruption agency Daniyar Bigaidarov at a briefing. According to him, the official is suspected of stealing budgetary funds allocated for the repair of the department building. According to the investigation, the civil servant signed a fictitious act of performance of works. According to the news agency, on May 25 in Nru-Sultan Director of LLP ZAK Service received six years imprisonment in the case of theft of 1 billion tenge ($2.4 million) during the construction of an interregional center for training and retraining of personnel for the machine-building industry in Ust-Kamenogorsk.
