The number of victims of COVID-19 in Iran exceeded 2.5 thousand
TO 2,517 people increased the number of deaths as a result of a disease caused by coronavirus in Iran. This was announced on March 28 by the representative of the Ministry of Health of the country Kianush Jahanpur on the TV channel IRINN. According to Jahanpur, 3,076 cases of infection were recorded in the country during the day, which amounted to a new daily record for the country, while 35,408 cases of coronavirus infection have been detected since the beginning of the epidemic. Within 24 hours, COVID-19 people died of 139, and the total number of deaths to date is 2,517. 11,679 patients recovered from coronavirus. So far, the highest number of infections in a day was 2,926 cases, the highest number of deaths from coronavirus in 24 hours was 157. Additional quarantine measures were taken by the Iranian authorities in response to the expected second wave of coronavirus spread. Long-distance travel is limited in the country, and the introduction of a self-isolation regime is under consideration. Earlier, the news agency reported that, according to the Deputy Minister of Health, Treatment and Medical Education of Iran Ali Reza Raisi, more than 50 million people had already been examined for coronavirus in the country.
