Kazakhstan authorities deny queues on border with Kyrgyzstan

All checkpoints on the border of Kazakhstan with Kyrgyzstan operate in regular mode and there are no queues there. This is today, February 8, the press service of the Border Service of the National Security Committee of Kazakhstan reports. The day before in the village of Masanchi of Korday district of Zhambyl region of Kazakhstan there was a mass fight, which turned into clashes. According to preliminary data, there was some domestic conflict between Kazakhs and Dungans, who live in the Kordai district. Information about the conflict spread on social networks and about 300 Kazakhs arrived in the village of Masanchi, inhabited by Dungags. There was a fight, which turned into an exchange of fire and riots. By the morning of 8 February, the authorities had managed to block settlements and stop the pogroms. However, social networks began to spread information that Dungan allegedly leave Kazakhstan en masse and leave for neighboring Kyrgyzstan, where the people also live compactly. But the authorities refute this information. We remind that as a result of clashes eight people were killed, 40 others were injured.
