In Taiwan, the first asymptomatic case of coronavirus infection was identified
Taiwan authorities confirmed the eighteenth case of infection with the new coronavirus, which simultaneously became the first asymptomatic on the island, according to Xinhua news agency on February 9. The sick man flew to Italy via Hong Kong on January 22 and returned to Taiwan on February 1 also via Hong Kong with his parents and older brother, Taiwan's epidemiological monitoring agency said. His parents brother was also infected with the virus, which was revealed earlier last week. They all had symptoms of coughing and heat. However, a 20-year-old young man fell ill without symptoms. In total, the Taiwan authorities identified 78 close contacts of the sick person, along with members of his family. A total of 152 people with suspected coronavirus have now been identified on the island.
